We hope that this email finds you well…spring always gives me hope, and I hope this season brings you some, as well.
As always…lots of news and events going on!
First up…tomorrow, March 31, is the Transgender Day of Visibility, and there are marches and educational programs all over Ohio, including the Marches for Queer and Trans Youth Autonomy in Cleveland, Cleveland Heights and Lakewood in NEOhio. In Akron, Equitas Health is sponsoring a family friendly event at The Well CDC at 647 East Market St. MArch 31 from 5-8pm. If anyone can show some form of trans pride, please do so. Wear that button or pin, fly a flag at your house, or just bring it up in conversation that someone you love is transgender. IT’s important that we all do something like this for our transgender friends, colleagues and loved ones.

Lots going on at Kent State for LGBTQ+ students! Lav Grad, a new Graduate Certificate in LGBTQ Public Health, a Mentorship program for career mentoring and scholarships!! Wow!

Honesty for Ohio Education will be hosting a Lunch and Learn on April 7 at noon

655 N. Broadway, Medina MCHD will visit and give brief overview of services offered at the
Medina Health Department and we will share the NEW Tik Tok Videos and Facebook Live interviews that we have been developing together to work toward a tobacco free LGBTQ+ Medina! We are excited to share these!!

*OUTED All Pathways Recovery Meeting at Hope Recovery Community (new name!) Every Thursday at 6:30pm LGBTQ+ and Allies welcome! in person and Zoom 200 Highland Drive Medina
SAVE THE DATES!!! OutSupport will be hosting it’s 3rd Annual Pride Picnic and Chalk Art Event on Thursday, June 8 from 6-8pm on the Square in Medina! Pack a picnic, and a blanket, and just have a relaxing time together! Chalk and dessert provided, as well as a small resource fair from local supportive organizations, live music and other fun!
Also, we will be hosting Teen Meet Ups at Cool Beans on the Square on the following dates:
June 20, July 18, and Aug. 15 from 7-9pm. More info to come!!
Finally, OutSupport would like to extend our greatest appreciation to the Gay Community Endowment Fund of the Akron Community Foundation for supporting us in our endeavors! They not only are providing funds this year to help us “keep the lights on” but also funding for our Billboard Campaign, which should be up around Medina County throughout the month of June!! More details to come! We are SO GRATEFUL!!!
