If you don’t read the letter to the end, the most important thing I’d like to remind you to do is to remember to VOTE NO on (or before Aug. 8 at your county Board of Elections) August 8 on Issue 1. Every vote counts in this election, so please…do not sit this election out! Your and my rights as a citizen are truly at stake. Super important. Make your plan to VOTE!!!!!
OutSupport news! August meeting: Adult Support Group: Tuesday, Aug. 8 7:00-8:30pm @ Unity of Medina 655 N. Broadway St. Teen MeetUp: Tuesday, Aug. 15 7:00-9:00pm Cool Beans on the Medina Square Enjoy a hang out time with other LGBTQ youth, aged 13-17. OutSupport will provide treats and a yummy drink of your choosing off the Cool Beans awesome beverage menu! And, of course: all the buttons, flags and stickers you need! Bring a friend!
NEWat each Teen MeetUp, we will have a BANNED BOOK Drawing with 2 books(a fiction and non-fiction) per MeetUp that teens will have a chance to win! The books will be selected by a team of adults who work/worked with LGBTQ youth and are up to date on new LGBTQ literature. If you know a teen aged 13-17, make sure they are aware of this new offering from OutSupport! We can’t wait to give out the books!*** ALSO: if you would like to donate to this effort, there is a Facebook Fundraiser set up that will be up for the next 2 weeks. We are grateful for the amazing donations that we have received so far! Thank you!!!
Our Fall Schedule will have a couple of changes! We will be having the LGBTQ Teen MeetUps and Adult Support Group meetings in the second week of the month, starting this fall. Teens will meet on Tuesdays: Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 7, and Dec. 12 at Cool Beans from 7-8pm. Adult Meetings will be Thursdays: Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14 at Unity of Medina from 7:00-8:30pm Mark your calendars!
We are in the process of changing the OutSupport website! Our techy guru is working on making our website more user friendly and refreshing information. We will also have a donation tab, to make it easier for folks to donate to OutSupport! Stay tuned!
OutSupport just signed another agreement with the Medina County Health Dept. for another year of working to make LGBTQ folks in Medina County and beyond healthier and more informed about their varied medical services! If anyone is looking for healthcare, please visit them for many of your medical needs!!
OutSupport will be presenting our Trans 101 to the Safe Conversations Conference at the Ohio State University Mansfield Campus. See attached flyer for further details!

NEW RESOURCES Lavender Landing is offered through our friends at CANAPI, and this program helps LGBTQ+ individuals (ages 18-29) who are experiencing housing insecurity. Affirming Pathways Psychotherapy is now offering a free, weekly online support group for youth 13-17. Please see the attached flyer for additional information. Queer -owned therapy practice with queer clinicians.
