First up! TransOhio is hosting its’ Trans Beach Day this Saturday, Sept. 2 at Huntington Beach MetroPark in Bay Village from 11:00-4:00pm! Bring a friend and make some new ones!!
*TransOhio is hosting its’ 14th Annual TranOhio Trans & Ally Symposium Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in person, with a Zoom option. Tickets www.transohio.ticketleap.com/symposium2023/ Attached, find scholarship and other details!

*Safe Space Educator Badge and more! If you are working in a school of any type, and want to show that you are a safe person for a LGBTQ+ student to be around, check out www.genderinclusiveschools.org for badges and other items for your classrooms.
*Akron’s Bayard Rustin LGBTQ+ Center is expanding, through a collaboration with Equitas Health and the Akron Aids Collaborative. The collaboration will provide all sorts of services to the LGBTQ+ folks in Akron, including housing assistance, mental health services, and other needs that the community faces. *New Resource! Stella Luna Counseling is starting a new support group for transgender folks to help with anxiety and depression. See attached for more details!
*Kent State is offering a group for Queer, Trans, and POC folks for the upcoming school year! See attached for details!

*Outsupport Teen MeetUps Chill at Cool Beans: Tuesdays, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9. Dec. 14. 7-8:00pm. 13-17 year olds. Cool Beans Cafe on the Square in Medina: Free beverage of choice, a treat and banned book drawings, and BLING!! Register on Eventbrite so we know how many treats to order!
OutSupport will present our Trans 101 to the Children’s Center of Medina County, and to the Safe Conversations Event at The Ohio State University in Mansfield (see attached for registration) in September!
We’ve purchased 2 binders for local teens recently…happy to provide free binders and gaffs for youth…just check in with us and we will order one for your teen or young adult!
AND SAVE THE DATE!!! OutSupport is turning 10 years old in October! 10 years of providing Medina County (and beyond) support, education and advocacy for and with LGBTQ+ and allies. Please mark your calendars for January 20, 2024 for an evening of dinner and dancing and celebrating 10 years of service to our community!! More details next month, but in the meantime, SAVE THE DATE!! We would love to celebrate with YOU!!!
